Infinity Ground – Thailand and Taiwan Contemporary Architecture Exhibition | 3 Lecture Series

The first architectural exhibition at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center (BACC) in 2023 will officially open on July 18. "Infinity Ground - Thailand and Taiwan Contemporary Architecture Exhibition" is organized by The Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage and Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture (Taiwan). On July 18th, the exhibition will be open to the public with a forum. Mr. Jenchieh Hung, the exhibition chairman of The Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage, and Kulthida Songkittipakdee, co-founder and principal architect of HAS Design and Research, will present the "Infinity Ground" idea and discuss this theme with Thai and Taiwanese architects, including Architects 49 Limited (A49), Arsomsilp Community and Environment Architect, Duangrit Bunnag Architect Limited (DBALP), Department of ARCHITECTURE, Ambi Studio, MAYU architects, Behet Bondzio Lin Architekten, and Atelier Or.
 
On July 21 and 29, Infinity Ground will start a lecture series called "Architecture as Dialogue for All". When architects cross the field, lectures by academics, researchers, professors, architects, and planners will be given to promote design exchanges between Thailand and Taiwan. Lectures on July 21 include Saowaruj Rattanakhamfu from Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI), who will share innovation policies for designer management and sustainable development. Linda S. Cheng from River City Bangkok will share how to revitalize the space through creativity and design and create a creative space in Bangkok. Chun-Ming Huang from Chung Yuan Christian University, who will share the trend and culture of contemporary architecture in Taiwan. Hsuan-Chen Chen from ArchiBlur Lab will use the place, creativity, and design as the starting point to share how architecture can bring new changes to the city. The lecture on July 29 includes Apiradee Kasemsook from Silpakorn University and Komgrij Thanapet from Chulalongkorn University; both will share how architecture and cities find a balance, and let the public understand that people living in cities are the key to promoting urban development. Prompt Udomdech from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and M.L. Paskorn Abhakorn from the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) will share how people recognize the importance of architectural design in various fields and how to promote Thai design to the world through a horizontal strategy.

The exhibition will be held at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center from July 18 to August 6, 2023. "Infinity Ground - Thailand and Taiwan Contemporary Architecture Exhibition" is organized by The Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage and Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture (Taiwan), and in cooperation with Chulalongkorn University - Faculty of Architecture, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang - School of Architecture, Art, and Design, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi - School of Architecture and Design, and Silpakorn University - Faculty of Architecture.
